Claire, 28 years old, French. Here I post things I like : art, cats n' pups, tutorials and other stuff... Have a good time ~♥~
In case of people finding this blog because of my twitter handle

This is my “reblog everything” blog. You can find my art @my-only-daydream (as I’ve long stopped cross posting between both blogs.)
If we were mutuals, you followed me on art blog and see this handle follow you, it is me (hi). This is my “main” by virtue of being my first and my art one is technically a side blog. This also means that all my interactions (likes, reblogs and follows) will be with this blog rather than my art one.
I’m sorry for the potential confusion, but starting a new art blog from scratch after so many years is a bit much.

that said, feel free to follow for the art reblogs and occasionals jokes or wall of text. I rarelly post my own stuff on here tho.

having adhd and being a creator is like being on a timer. oh sorry you have this art idea? well you have approximately 12 hours to start it and 6 hours to finish the task or else you will lose interest and inevitably move on. oh you have an idea for a one-shot? well you’d better finish it in a day unless you want to banish it to your wips forever. ding dong bitch

Apparently there was some kind of race scheduled at a local park or something so I’ve been trying to avoid the main trail but a little while ago when I had to cross near it I overheard the following shouted exchange

Higher feminine voice: woo, look at you go! You’re jogging! Keep it up!

Lower masculine voice (panting): you know it! Last place is still a place, baby!

And goddamn if that didn’t rewire my brain a little bit.

Last place is still a place, baby.

I know of a trail racing company that gives the slowest racer who finishes every race a DFL award: Dead Fucking Last. I was a little taken aback by this until I had it explained to me that those last-place finishers are pretty much uniformly people for whom finishing at all was an accomplishment: people undergoing cancer treatments, absolute beginners, runners in their eighties, extremely pregnant people, you get the idea. Moreover, what you see as this person crosses the finish line is all these sporty trail racers, many of whom finished the race literal hours earlier, cheering their hearts out because they respect that, yes, DFL is still a place, baby.

This is actually something I was thinking about is that rent can not exceed 1/3 of monthly minimum wage income.

So let’s say state is on federal Minimum wage which is about 1100 a month so in that state no matter what rent on any place could not exceed 370 dollars.

Even if minimum wage was 15 dollars (about 2400 a month) max rent could be 800

So if landlord want more money they would have to fight bosses and state legislature to get it.

Like average Pennsylvania rent is 1400 and in this world if landlord wanted to charge that the would have to get minimum wage raised to 26 dollars an hour.

To bosses and landlords:

Me sittin’ here, seriously concerned for all the young kids who are gonna’ grow up in this fandom environment thinking they’re secretly evil monsters because their sex fantasies aren’t strictly pure or vanilla or because they ship something with an unhealthy dynamic. Soooooo many people must hate/be terrified of themselves.

Hey…….hey kids…….

You’re fuckin’ fine.

The human brain is weird. Sex fantasies ≠ actual desires. If you ask yourself, “would I want to act out this thing in real life” and the answer is “fuck no,” then you’re fine. Shipping is also not an indicator of what you would condone in real life. You are not secretly a monster. You are a human being. Human beings are complicated. Please calm down and treat yourself to a smoothie or something.

“What you want to read about” is not the same as “what you want to happen in your real life.”

The murder mystery industry has no problem understanding this.

The entire “horror” genre is built on this.  Ditto “thrillers”, and indeed most other genres.  In fact, possibly the only genre which isn’t inherently built on this assumption is “romance”, and even there… well, there’s a lot of romance stories which are basically about “I want to experience catharsis” rather than “I want this to happen to me” (consider Wuthering Heights, for example - Heathcliff and Catherine are great to read about, but they would each be hell to live with).

This also means if you’re asexual but you still like reading stories where people fuck?  You’re still asexual.  If you’re aromantic and enjoy reading romances, you’re still aromantic.  If you’re non-heterosexual and enjoy reading heterosexual porn (because hey, there’s more of it and it’s easier to find than anything else, right?) then you’re still not heterosexual.

The only thing your taste in reading says anything about is your taste in reading.

I’m pretty sure open portals are against OSHA regulations

It took me a few moments to realise that these people are inside a warehouse type building and have opened a door to show the wild weather outside
they are not in fact outside opening the door of their warehouse to show us the weather they are keeping inside

*taking notes for a fantasy story* They are now
